Last week, a broad coalition of supporters from across L.A. County, including business, labor, non-profit, and religious communities, joined together to launch the official campaign in support of Measure H. It was a great day – we were featured in the Daily News and the New York Times!

Measure H will end homelessness for 45,000 individuals and families within 5 years, and prevent homelessness for 30,000 in the same time period. That includes women and children, veterans, seniors, foster youth, and people with disabilities. And here’s the best part: Measure H will start impacting their lives as soon as it goes into effect this July.

Known as the “Los Angeles County Plan to Prevent and Combat Homelessness,” Measure H is the March 7th ballot measure that will invest $350 million per year for 10 years in proven solutions to end and prevent homelessness.

Last November, over 77% of voters in the City of Los Angeles voted to approve funding to build 10,000 units of supportive housing for the homeless. Providing a roof is a great start, but it is only part of the solution – Measure H funds essential services that homeless families and individuals need to leave the streets and stay housed.

Essential services like job training, mental health care, and homeless prevention create stability for these individuals and families.
