Happy Veterans Day! Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated annually on November 11 to honor our veterans who have served in the military. Our Veterans Day coincides with Remembrance Day and Armistice Day in other countries as we remember the end of World War I on the 11th hour of the 11th day in the 11th month in 1918. It is a day to remember the great sacrifice and honor our veterans’ commitment to defending our country. Here at Ascencia, we value our veterans and are dedicated to ending veteran homelessness in Glendale and surrounding areas. That’s why we provide many services specially geared towards our homeless veterans.
Here are a few free services we provide:
- Housing search and placement assistance
- Linking to mainstream financial resources
- Access to Veteran’s health care services, educational and employment programs and training services
- Vocational and rehabilitation counseling
Are you or someone you know a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and in need of housing and homeless support services? Our experienced staff, including a U.S. veteran, are ready to help you find housing and access support services.
To speak with a case manager, please call Ascencia’s Access Center at (818) 246-7900. We will discuss eligibility for our programs and help you determine next steps, including coming in for an intake interview.
On this Veterans Day especially, we honor our veterans and continue to strive to serve them with the same honor and dignity with which they served us while defending our country. Take a moment today to thank a veteran for their service. To find out more about the services we offer veterans here at Ascencia, visit our website.
