As many of you may already know, Ascencia will be running an 80 bed emergency shelter this winter, in addition to our 40 year round program. The Glendale Winter Shelter Program will serve 80 adult individuals nightly, from December 1, 2012 to March 1, 2013.

Glendale Winter Shelter Program
December 1, 2012 – March 1, 2013*
*Blackout dates: Dec. 14-15, Jan. 10-13, Feb. 8-10, 28 & March 1 (Please note, blackout dates are subject to change)
National Guard Armory – 220 E. Colorado Blvd. Glendale, CA 91205

80 adult beds – first come, first serve basis.

Entrance line opens at 5:30pm.
No guest should be in line or on the Armory property before 5:30pm.
Guests who are not among the first 80 participants will be referred to winter programs with availability, throughout LA county.

Families with minor children are encouraged to call 211 if in need of shelter, as they will not be admitted to the Glendale Winter Shelter for safety reasons.

*Early registration is available through Ascencia. Guests will complete paperwork and receive an admittance card. Guest who register early will still be required to wait in the first come, first serve line each night.

Burbank participants in need of transportation and services for the Winter Shelter, are encouraged to visit the Burbank Temporary Aid Center at 1304 West Burbank Blvd. (818) 848-2822, Ext. 102. for bus token and other information.
